Bringers of Light
The building that serves as the “Hall of Justice” in Caer Gomes is called Dom Zastra. It is somewhat similar to the setup of the Tower of London in that it is a central tower surrounded by walls with smaller buildings inside the outer walls. These smaller buildings house the administrative offices and courtrooms where “trials” take place. The dungeon/cells where prisoners are held are in the central tower. The Scath Runda live in the lower levels of the central tower, underground. Their living area has several secret entrances/exits, not just the main entry through the central tower. Although the central tower is the actual Dom Zastra, the population in general refers to the entire complex as Dom Zastra. The central tower is a large, imposing structure. It is 4 stories tall (above ground) and built from a reddish colored stone with black marbled through it. The building itself is fairly simple looking & boxy with right angles for corners. The roofline has some areas of the façade that are raised in steps from which archers could fire in all directions, while remaining in cover, if Dom Zastra were to be attacked. The building does have some gothic touches to it, such as gargoyles around the roofline and gothic arches around the doorways to the building (and in some of the surrounding buildings), but it does not have the ornate carvings of other gothic buildings. Any true ornamentation is reserved for the ceremonial halls within the building.
